Here’s what you need:

1. A pair of scissors

2. Drinking straws (additional tip: try to get the straws in different colours and shapes to add some variety to your hearts)

And here’s how you make the special Valentine’s Day heart-shaped bookmarks and paper clips from straws, with pictures to guide you too.

Step by step instructions:

Step 1: Cut a little section (about an inch) off the straw. See picture below.

Step 2: Press the section and make it flat.

Step 3: Cut it as shown in the picture.

Step 4: Add another little slit if you want to be able to clip the heart onto paper.

Step 5: Open the heart. In the picture, you can see the slit at the bottom of the heart.

Step 6: If you made the slit, clip the heart onto the edge of any paper or cardstock like you would a paper clip.

1. Aspirin

Crush two aspirins until they become a fine powder and add it to your shampoo each time you wash your hair. Leave it on your hair for 1-2 minutes, then rinse well and wash again with plain shampoo.

To treat a bad case of dandruff, wash your hair with your regular shampoo; then rinse with an alcohol-based mouthwash. You can follow with your regular conditioner.

Wet your hair, then rub a handful of baking soda into your scalp. Rinse thoroughly and towel dry. Do this every time you normally wash your hair, but only use baking soda with no shampoo. 3. Salt

The abrasiveness of ordinary table salt works great for scrubbing out dandruff before you shampoo. Grab a saltshaker and shake some salt onto your dry scalp. Then work it through your hair, giving your scalp a massage. You’ll find you’ve worked out the dry, flaky skin and are ready for a shampoo.

4. Vinegar

To give your dandruff the brush-off, follow up each shampoo with a rinse of 2 cups of apple cider vinegar mixed with 2 cups of cold water. You can also fight dandruff by applying 3 tablespoons of vinegar onto your hair and massaging into your scalp before you shampoo. Wait a few minutes, then rinse it out and wash as usual.

When you make garbage enzymes using kitchen wastes like vegetables and fruits, it goes through a process of fermentation. This fermentation process will release ozone gas that will help to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Thus, making homemade enzymes is also an excellent way to do our part in safeguarding the environment.

Before you begin, you should know that the process of producing enzyme is not an overnight thing. To make garbage enzymes the correct way, you need to leave it to ferment for 3 months before it is ready to be used.

Basic Ingredients To Make Garbage Enzymes:

• 1 part sugar
• 3 parts vegetable and/or fruit dregs
• 10 parts water
• A plastic container (recommended: use a substantially large plastic mineral water bottle which is air tight)

Tip: If you want nice smelling garbage enzymes, try using citrus fruits like oranges and pineapples!

Method To Make Garbage Enzymes:

• In the plastic container, dilute the sugar in water.
• Then, add in the fruit/vegetable dregs
• Be sure to leave about one third of empty space in the plastic container for the fermentation process
• Close the container tightly
• During the first month, open the container’s cap twice a day to release the gas that has built up
• Once in a while where necessary, you may push the floating garbage downward
• Place the container in a cool and ventilated area

After the first month, the ingredients in the container should be stable and you won’t need to release the gas anymore. At this stage, you just need to leave it alone to ferment for another 2 months before using it. It’s that easy!
