Papaya leaves juice a known cure for dengue fever

by Tipsie on November 12, 2008

It is a fact that there is no cure for dengue fever and therefore it is a much feared fatal illness. However, recently there has been a lot written about papaya leaves that seem to prove itself as a cure to dengue fever.

Only two spoonfuls of raw papaya leaves juice, taken once a day can help dengue patients increase their platelet count and therefore overcome the fever. Here is how you juice the leaves:

For each dose of 2 tablespoonfuls once a day, you need 2 papaya leaves.

Clean and pound them, and squeeze it with a filter cloth.

Do not boil or cook or rinse with hot water.

Use only the leafy part with no stem or sap

thanks for the info.:) ya, there is no cure for the dengue fever, because it is caused by flavivirus and the main treatment is timely supportive therapy to tackle shock due to haemoconcentration and bleeding.^_^

Ivy, let’s all hope we will never have to deal with this problem. Stay well and thanks for sharing your knowledge on this too.

Perhaps it was wrong of me to start of with that statement, but do give credit where its due with that info to help others with a natural remedy. Maybe you can also do more to educate people all over the world with your so claimed cure.

I do not have experience with dengue but I do know that after i read the above email a few years ago I encouraged two of my friends to use dried papaya leaf instead. They used it successfully to help with very low platelet counts. Both of them were in bad shape and needed to have a rise in platelets immediately. The doctors had not been able to help them. They made a tea out of the dried leaf using 1/2 papaya and 1/2 peppermint to make it taste better. Use 1/4 cup of the tea mix. Steep it in a quart of boiling water. Turn off heat. Let it set for 20 minutes and then strained and sweetened and chilled it. Since this was not the fresh plant and it was a water infusion, they drank a quart of the tea for awhile. In both cases the platelets came up quickly in the next week. They had both been under drs care and taking medicine to no avail. I would love to hear if this works for others who have dengue or platelet problems. In the tropics I would recommend the fresh juice, elsewhere the tea. If you any of you have the same result, please email me at myronweaver2@gmail.com
We are using this along with teasel root extract and a few other things to help with Lyme and having surprising results.

It’s All Fake.

It all started with a hoax copied exactly in the same manner.
Papaya, as a fruit itself has great set of enzymes, helping liver and RBCs to be manufactured.

Papaya can be used in Jaundice and Typhoid fever as well.
Do not consider Papaya leaf as I am a dengue suspect as well.
Take Tulsi as it is a natural killer of viruses and bacterias. Chew it after every 4 hours. Dengue can be defeated only when our immunity system goes stronger. That is why, platlets transfusion is recommended, and again they are not sufficient enough to save anyone’s life. If the immunity system is very week then nothing is gonna workout.

Gist is that apart from taking allopathic medicines, continue using homeopathic or ayurvedic system to boost your immunity system.

And lastly, use “Papaya Fruit juice or unriped Papaya fruit ” BUT NOT PAPAYA LEAF as it would dehydrate your body.

Can anyone tell me if the raw leaf can be used for making tea such as sold here http://www.papayatea.co.uk ?

just to let you guys know here. my friend used the leaves as part of his stage iv prostate cancer at-home treatment. yes, the doctor sent him home to die, told him that there is nothing the medical world can do for him. it is 2010, this man is still alive in AUSTRALIA after 9 years of first diagnosed. so something must be working. 99% of populace in the world are so brain-washed and ingrained with the idea that only conventional medicine can cure dis-eases. but have these same people go and take a look how many of the patients died unnecessarily under the hands of these doctors and gone unreported. because they are protected by the white coat they are wearing therefore they must be right. whereas the barefoot dandelion eaters are quacks that so happened to cure cancer without much gongs going for them………….mmmmmm……..so is Jesus a quack too? cos he cured people in storybook.

I hope papaya leaves can really cure dengue patients. My son Christian is now in the hospital because of dengue. After reading these postings, we decided to give it a try. His platelet is only 12,000. I pray that indeed, papaya leaves will make miracles.
My brother who is in Thailand called me yesterday and told me to try papaya leaves. He said it worked with other people. Out of despair, we tried it a while ago. We are still waiting for its result.

13 jerome bolesa August 22, 2010 at 2:48 pm

My brother is also suffering a dengue right now. After having some research for a cure, I saw this papaya leaves juice. I called my mother and instructed her to give him 2 tablespoon of extracted papaya leaves. I’m hoping that he’ll get well soon.

14 crista ley August 27, 2010 at 2:20 pm

any follow up news on lanei and jerome? i would want to know if indeed the papaya leaves elevated the platelet counts of their patients. getting anxious over this dengue cases. thanks.

Try drinking a lot of “100 Plus” when one is confirmed to hve dengue, while waiting for the papaya leaves juice

16 dennis laydia September 10, 2010 at 9:10 pm

Beck protocol (blood electrification) could be used in treating dengue since it is a virus.

17 ABBA September 28, 2010 at 10:56 am

papaya leaves extract really helps the dengue patient because for now there is no cure for dengue so with this information, many people will be saved!

I had a personal experience in family. When I caught Dengue we followed the typical medical way – got admitted in hospital , IV fluids , my count dropped to 15,000 was shifted to ICU , platelletes etc – when my mom caught it two weeks later , we started on papaya leaf juice + Aloe Vera + 6/8 glasses of Pomegranade / Beetroot juice per day and we could arrest the count at 90,000 and it came back quite quickly as well.

There have been lot of talk about papaya juice / leaves works well for increasing platelet count. So, there has to be some truth in it. Ofcourse, its natural and worth trying if nothing else is working out. God bless everyone.
Also, we have to take precautions, so that one should not be affected by dengue at first. There should be maximum protection from mosquitoes.

My father has cancer in Urinary bladder. Before operation, doctor suggested to do CBC, where his platelet count was detected as 1.14Lakh. Doctor was expected min 1.5Lakh before operation. Suggested vitamin tablets. Going thro this blog, he took papaya leaf juice for 5 days. When checked his platelet coung on 6th day it was only 1.16Lakh. He never had Dengue fever or any other diseases. Any body has the experience of lower platelet count otherthan Dengue fever and tried any treatment.

Drinking the extract from the papaya leaf really helped my platelet count from dropping. Thanks to a friend who told me about it… I was never confined to a hospital. Those of you who have early detected to have denge….. keep drinking fluids and the papaya leaf extract. But keep monitoring your platelet count just to be sure. Thanks.

Dengue is not as dangerous as it might seem or as is the popular belief made by the media.

It is curable & treatable. The mortality rate is very low around 2.5% which in fact can happen with almost any disease with any kind of flu, fever, malaria, allergy, or any other mild, ordinary & normal disease. So there shouldn’t be much scare and its treatment should be carried out with a simple regimen, and God willing, one is cured in ten to twelve days, though preferably more rest for to three weeks should taken even after the cure.

Take two table spoonful juice of Papaya leafs once everyday. To make it more palatable & tasteful add half teaspoonful honey & another quarter teaspoonful of lemon juice. One leaf gives off one tablespoonful juice. So two fresh leaves are needed everyday. The extracted juice can be stored in the fridge for two to three days but its preferable to take the fresh leaves juice everyday. To take out the juice just cut the stem & throw it away & then cut the leaf into small pieces & extract juice by using the juicer machine. If you are diabetic don’t take the honey, lemon juice should be enough or you may add anything else which you are allowed to take as diabetic patient.

Take Vitamin C in form of tablets, orange juice, tomatoes & other things which contain Vitamin C.

Take 8 to 10 glasses of water each day.

Take normal but light food, like cereals, vegetables, fruits etc.

Take rest for 3 to four weeks.

Get the blood tested every second day to see if the platelet count is improving.

Normally the platelet count will increase by 15,000 to 20,000 everyday.

Once the platelet count comes up to 200,000 to 250,000 you may stop taking the papaya juice but you may continue for a week or so more. Normally this level of platelet count will be reached in seven to ten days or so.

The normal platelet count is 150,000 to 450,000 in a healthy person.

My mom and I have dengue. I am from Pakistan. A lot of people are contracting this fever over here cause of the monsoon season. My doc advised me to take lots of fluids. ORS, fruit juices, chicken stalk (yakhni). And for the fever take paracetamol every six hours. Other relatives contracted this fever and tried papaya leaf juice. They just brought it for us. But my doctor advises against it. another thing people are trying is adding lemon juice of one lemon in a glass of apple juice. my doctors not against that so we will try it. take lots of rest everybody. its curable with fluids and rest.
