Cold water after a meal can turn your food into fats

by Tipsie on December 11, 2008

I’m sure many of you have heard this before, that cold and iced drinks are unhealthy. I’ve heard it too many times myself and didn’t know the true extent of why it isn’t too healthy. But along came many emails that explained how cold water when taken after a meal tends to solidy the oily food that we’ve consumed. This will affect digestion of the food, whereby it slows down the digestion process.

This solidified food the reacts to the acid juices in the body and will be broken down to be absorbed by the intestine faster than the usual food in the body. This substance will then line the intestine and eventually turn into fats.

Now we all know what fats in the body can do. It can result in many harmful diseases like heart attack due to blockage of arteries. Even if it doesn’t result in fatal diseases, you will eventually be obese with so much fats stored in the body.

So just a gentle word of advise, try to down your meal with lukewarm or room temperature beverages. It’s much healthier.
